Lunar New Year is a big celebration for Chinese! The celebration lasts for 2 weeks and this year, the year of dog, from Feb 15. Just one day after the Valentine’s Day that the Lunar New Year surely stole the spotlight from it @ Yorkdale Shopping Centre.
Red and gold are the theme colours for Lunar New Year decoration. I was at Yorkdale last week and surprised to spot the decor everywhere in the mall! Definitely got me into the festive mood and relieved a bit of my homesickness.
There’s a Wishing Tree at Holt Renfrew that you can write your wish for the New Year on a flower shaped card to put on the tree.
