Spring is here, you can feel it in the air! The flower display and the grass may not be perfectly ready yet, but that’s not an excuse to not to get outside. The followings are some of the free and cheap things you can do in some of the best Toronto Parks this spring!
– Take a stroll in High Park and admire the famous cherry blossoms that are forecasted to bloom Mid May in 2018 . While you are there, visit Colborne Lodge if you have not been to it yet!

– Take the ferry to Center Island and have a relaxing day at the Toronto Island Park before the summer crowd do so. Centerville Amusement Park is set to reopen on June 1, 2018 and some of the food stalls are subject to open in end of April. For those of you who bike, the Toronto Island bike rental is opening on May 1, 2018!

– Visit the Toronto Botanical Garden for some of the best spring flower displays in Toronto and check out the TBG’s spring plant sale during Friday, May 11 to Sunday, May 13, 2018.

– Check out Evergreen Brick Works and The Don Valley River Park joint spring and summer program opening day on Sunday, May 13, 2018. Visitors can join a guided biking and hiking tours as part of City of Toronto’s Ravine Days events. Also, there will be family activities and local food vendors for visitors to enjoy. Pre-registration is required for guided tours.

– Visit Rouge National Urban Park this May 12, 2018 for the annual World Migratory Bird Day event, there will be free guided birding outings, activities and live bird shows. Pre-registration is required for birding outings. Regularly scheduled guided walks in Rouge Park are also available through-out April to June each year!
